Sierra Madre Playhouse
This comic intermezzo lampoons a self-important conductor who can’t stop talking long enough to rehearse. Performed in a lively new English translation by Britta Sterling (with a dash of Italian), baritone/conductor Caleb Yanez Glickman takes on the rare challenge of conducting and starring as the flustered Maestro.
The evening opens with chamber, vocal, and orchestral works by Italian and Italian-American composers, featuring some strings students from South Pasadena Arts & Music Academy alongside Source/Filter musicians
